RA’s pre-Budget submission

RA has provided a submission to the Federal Government ahead of the 2023-24 Federal Budget, which will be delivered in early May.

The submission was developed with input from members of RA’s Policy Stream Expert Panels and suggestions received by RA members.

It reflects some of our industry’s most immediate challenges, particularly in relation to capacity issues and our commitment to decarbonisation.

In total, our submission makes 15 individual recommendations across key priority areas for the industry, including:

• Road worker safety;
• Decarbonisation of transport infrastructure;
• Decarbonisation of transport trips and services;
• Delivering value through infrastructure; and
• Skilled workers and labour challenges.
