Digital Twin Victoria goes live

The Victorian Government has launched its new platform providing a digital replica of the state that will help industry to plan and build infrastructure projects more efficiently.

Digital Twin Victoria (DTV) brings together masses of 2D, 3D and live data in a single online place open for everyone to use, with over 4,000 datasets already available in the platform.

The new platform is being provided to encourage industry participants and other organisation to move away from manual, labour-intensive and paper-based systems and build digital foundations and skills that will be needed in future.

DTV is a browser-based tool open to all. Users do not need specialist capabilities to use the platform. It is designed to be accessible to users with no experience using spatial data.

However, there is also more advanced functionality available for specialists who want to analyse, investigate or connect to datasets.

The Digital Twin Victoria program is a record $37.4 million investment in digital twin technology, geospatial data and spatial innovation being delivered by the Victorian Government over 4 years.
