Advertising campaign highlights road worker safety

A new round of advertising has been launched in Tasmania, highlighting the impact that crashes at road work sites have on the families of road workers.
The Your Speed is Our Safety campaign is being led by the Civil Contractors Federation Tasmania, with support from the Tasmanian Government and the Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA).
The advertisements present the human face of trauma that flows from a moment of inattention or failure to reduce speed on the families of road workers killed and injured in crashes. It is hoped they will promote greater awareness among road users of the need to slow down and respect the safety of workers when they approach roadworks.
