A record number of transport and infrastructure professionals have been accepted into Roads Australia’s flagship Fellowship program in 2026.

The 2026 cohort draws from all Australian states, the ACT, and NZ. The growth to 55 Fellows, up from 45 in previous years, reflects strong industry demand, and is the cornerstone of RA’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Fellows are employed across 42 leading private and public sector organisations including Arcadis, Arup, WSP, CPB Contractors, Transurban, SMEC, Transport for NSW, Jacobs, McConnell Dowell, Stantec, and AECOM.

The RA Fellowship is a nationally recognised leadership initiative which connects industry professionals with senior mentors, builds industry knowledge and networks via ‘golden ticket’ entry to RA events and a rich calendar of leadership activities.

Roads Australia CEO Ehssan Veiszadeh said the cohort also reflected RA’s focus on integrated transport networks as it prepares to evolve into Transport Australia in early 2026.

“An intake of 55 Fellows was beyond our expectations for this year. I’m so pleased by the demand from industry and to be able to invest not only in the future of our member organisations but also the impact on the future of the transport industry,” he said.

“By connecting talented emerging leaders with experienced mentors, we are building a pipeline of leadership that will help guide Australia and New Zealand’s transport infrastructure systems for decades to come.”
