Josh Murray joins Roads Australia Board

Roads Australia (RA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh Murray, Secretary of Transport for NSW, to its Board.

Josh brings more than 25 years of experience in government services and infrastructure delivery, including leadership roles in the private sector. As Secretary of Transport for NSW, he leads a portfolio of more than 30,000 people and is driving a transformative agenda to deliver a safe, sustainable, and integrated transport system for NSW.

“Josh Murray’s appointment reflects RA’s commitment to ensuring strong representation from government and industry leaders as it works to deliver better transport outcomes for all Australians,” RA Chair Aneetha de Silva said. “Josh’s deep industry knowledge and commitment to collaboration across government and the private sector make him a valuable addition to the RA Board.”

Josh Murray said: “Having engaged with Roads Australia for many years in multiple capacities, and seen their policy agenda first-hand, I’m pleased to now join the Board and work with RA’s directors and leaders – to both champion Government delivery priorities and strengthen the infrastructure sector.”

RA CEO Ehssan Veiszadeh said: “Josh’s leadership and unique insight will help shape RA’s policy work as we continue to support a more connected, productive and resilient transport system.”

Ms de Silva thanked Camilla Drover, Interim CEO at NSW Motorways, for her contribution to the Board and policy leadership, including as Chair of the Reduce, Reuse, Recover Working Group. “Camilla’s leadership and advocacy have been instrumental in advancing RA’s policy agenda and driving sector-wide reform,” Ms de Silva said.

The RA Board brings together senior transport leaders from the private and public sectors including Jim Betts, Secretary, Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communication and the Arts, Sally Stannard, Director-General, Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads and Kevin Devlin, Director-General, Victoria Infrastructure Delivery Authority.
