The 2025 Infrastructure Workforce Challenge by William Phillips
The 2024 PPP winner William Phillips presented his Building a Future‑Ready Infrastructure Workforce report in 2025. The report shines a spotlight on the critical workforce challenges facing Australia’s infrastructure sector. By drawing on insights from early career professionals and senior industry leaders, his work highlights the barriers affecting attraction, retention and development and showcases practical solutions already making a difference. William’s project offers a clear, actionable path for strengthening capability, supporting young talent and ensuring the sector is equipped to deliver Australia’s future infrastructure needs.

Transport Australia 2024 Future Leaders’ Forum Outcomes Report
