We develop the sector’s leadership pipeline through a national Fellowship program, tailored events for Emerging Leaders and strategic guidance from the Future Leaders Committee.
A prestigious 12‑month mentoring program pairing emerging leaders (~8–15 years’ experience) with senior executives; includes intensives, site visits and a capstone policy project.

Become a program mentor
The objective of the RA Fellowship is to develop the future leaders of our industry. The 2025 research topic was “Road Safety“. The 2025 cohort presented their projects at the end of year Fellows workshop in November, which was also attended by the 2026 Fellows.
Designed specifically for early career professionals with 5-10 years of industry experience, Transport Australia’s Emerging Leaders Program supports the next generation of talent in the transport sector.
